Frequently Asked Questions

Some of the frequent questions we get asked about the Track Induction initial course are:

Question 1: Do I have to bring PPE

Yes, the PTS element of the course includes a 90min Track Walk/Visit and so full PPE is to be worn. The practical elements of the Track induction course are undertaken on an approved site - full PPE is required at all times on practical elements of the course.

It is the sponsors responsibility to provide the learner with the following for the course:
Blue Safety Hard Hat
Safety Gloves - Cut 5

Safety Boots
Safety Glasses
Hi-visibility trousers and Hi-vis vest| jacket

Question 2: Is there a recertification course?

The PTS element has to be recertified every 2 years. The Track Induction does NOT expire and will remain as a competence as long as the prerequisite PTS is held.

Question 4: Do we deliver MC | CC recertification assessments?

Yes, we cover a wide range of MC | CC modules and can arrange assessment days or workplace assessments at your site of work across the UK.

Question 5: Is the course delivered over weekends?

Generally not. The MC|CC initial courses run Mon-Fri [weekend off] Mon-Fri. This weekend gap allows learners to travel home or work the weekend in between the course.

Question 3: Is there nearby accommodation for the course?

We do not have official accommodation linked to the course. However, we have a list of local rooms/hotels that can be made available on request. The postcode for the training centre is CF45 4SN for those wishing to look themselves
